As usual, I will be holding my annual Orphan's Thanksgiving this year. This one will be #10! Well, I think I missed one, but it's 10 years from when I started doing it. Dang.
In any case, Orphan's Thanksgiving is a thing I do with my net friends who don't want to go home / can't go home / don't have a home to go to for Thanksgiving. It's quasi pot-luck, but seriously, I provide all of the core stuff (or people who want to can volunteer) including the turkey, mashed potatoes. My mother-in-law usually makes the pies. If she doesn't...I will! IF you believe I can make a pie crust! Muahahaha.
Also, since I've been converted to football, it didn't USED to be tradition to watch the games on Turkey Day, but now it is. Also, my team is playing the Cowboys that day, so I *shall* be watching.

Date: 2005-10-07 07:52 pm (UTC)My RSVP shall firm up more closer to the date. Need to figure out if I'm going to bring my mom out for the holiday again, and, honestly, I'm not sure I would want to subject y'all to her if I did. :)

Date: 2005-10-07 08:06 pm (UTC)It would be pretty funny, but I'm also pretty sure your mother would kill her within an hour. :)

Date: 2005-10-07 08:07 pm (UTC)Thank you! :) She did pretty well at one of the large Thanksgivings I hosted back when we were in Santa Clara, so she may be okay. It's just, as I commented to Ezzy, that I think Pamela might kill my mom. And I can't honestly say I would blame her if she did. ;)
