...has gone by very quickly. I've been doing a lot of work on getting everything just the way I want it with maelstrom. I'm almost there, too. A few minor fixes...that i keep forgetting what they are. Time to start making another list.
Morgan's been here since Friday, that too has been taking some of my attention. He's been remarkable in how he doesn't really demand attention, but I always feel I should hang out with my guests, and I enjoy hanging out with Morgan. It's good to see him again, even if the circumstances are not exactly ideal.
I start summer classes on Monday. I'd intended to get some good writing in during the 3 week break, but it's close to over and I've written very little. Sigh. And maelstrom's having this heat issue that I have to spend some time (downtime for the server, sigh) debugging. I'm going to try plugging a different CPU into it, from one of the guest machines, and seeing if that changes anything. I hope so. If not, it might mean getting a new motherboard & CPU -- and that might mean getting new RAM too since modern motherboards don't work with non-DDR RAM anymore. The price of technology marching inexorably forward, and Moore's law which obsoletes everything every 18 months. Roughly.
Frankly, 2003 has gone by remarkably quickly so far. If the other half of the year goes by this quickly I'm in trouble. 1999 still doesn't seem that long ago, but if I'd entered high school in 1999, I'd be just graduating right now...and that sure seemed like a long time to me at that age!!

For those keeping score, I'm about to start night 9 of claritin-D.
The latest I've slept in was 9 am. (As I've said before, I'd ordinarily get up around 10 if I had nothing pressing to get me out of bed).
I have fairly consistently gotten up either with or before Lynette (before when she doesn't have to work; with when she does) and I seem to be falling asleep before she does as well.
My dreams have been a bit more vivid--also a bit more tense. However, I think that's because of the intensity of my server efforts this week. However, it's led to a stiffness in my shoulders that I don't like; luckily it's been pretty mild and I've been able to forcibly relax and make it go away after a short time.
I haven't felt particularly more tired than I used to--however, the intensity of working on the server mitigates that. I always feel energized when I have something that I am deeply focused on.
I do think I'm becoming accustomed to the stuff. Enough to go another week and see how this goes.
