Random musings from Nawlins

So far nothing eventful has happened which is good thing. Eventful flights are bad flights as a rule.

We got in Saturday night after a slight delay on our flight from vegas and made it to the hotel pretty late. We just managed to get into the hotel restaurant before it closed and had a nice dinner.

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at a nearby sports bar and caught the broncos game which was much too close but was still a Denver victory. Sprout is very cute when she puts her arms up and says "touchdown!" even though she doesn't know what it means yet. Next season she might though. She is wicked smart.

On her playtime we are introducing her to three letter words that she already knows. She can fingerspell the words and I think she is starting to remember what some of the words mean. She already recognizes mommy, daddy and her name, so it seems like just a matter of practice before she recognizes less personal words.

Last night we went out with the lullabots and had hummus at a nearby middleeastern restaurant. We had a nice xomvedsariom with Jeff Eaton about cyberpunk and why I hate most of the popular cyberpunk authors. Seems that he and I agree on that.

Apparently webchick has never seen bladerunner which we must find a way to rectify.

Nice thing about this iPhone LJ app: it allows me to post while otherwise indisposed which is a nice use of time.

The only downside to beong here now is that I feel guilty that I am nor getting any work done.
