Sadly I have no other knowledge than what's posted here. I'd heard that JMS had done the workup, hm, I think 2 years ago-ish, and I'd heard that Paramount did a flat-out no.
To be honest I think JMS may be a little too territorial for Paramount's taste, but I get the feeling he'd actually back off of that a bit to do Trek. It's hard to say.
