Crap! I didn't even realize that I've never posted about this publically, but in 10 days (give or take -- possibly a lot, given the will that has already been expressed) I will be a father!

Yeah, I'd heard the news through Shadowfist channels and wanted to congratulate you on it, but wasn't sure what the status was as you hadn't posted publicly about it.

So, anyway - a long overdue congratulations! Mine is nearly a year now and she is the light of my life! Congrats!

Thanks! I've seen a few of your posts about your daughter (I admit the idea makes me uneasy. I fear the Total Wide Openness of the Interweb, and will likely keep any blogging for Sprout under a lock, just so that some random stranger doesn't decide he knows my child. Y'know?) There's a lot of kookoos out there and it's real easy to get internet access.

Tru dat. On the other hand, when (due in part to travels or the openness of tha Intarweb) there are folks all over the world that are excited to see the youngster, it's also an awfully convenient way to share pics and info...I'm still trying to figure out a way to upload our videos to the blog in a non-space/memory-hogging-manner so that the family in Australia can see. We're trying to send CDs with the videos burned on them every few months or so right now...seems to be the easiest way to do it until I can find a better way.
