What a week it's been, too. Weight suddenly dropped off starting last Thursday and has stayed down, to my surprise. I'm currently at 276.4 which is down 31.4. Waist is fairly stable from last week, but it had a very sudden drop a couple weeks ago so this isn't super surprising. This does mean I'm back on track for being close to 270 by the time I have surgery, which will be a nice bonus. As it is, when I go in for my appointment on Friday I'll be around 15 pounds lighter than my last appointment with that doctor. Little things can be exciting.
Because I'm a nerd, I fed my weight data into excel and did a trendline. If I stay on the current trendline, which I won't because calories burned just by existing will be dropping as I lose weight, but if I did, I'd be at my goal weight next April. Unrealistic and not really thinking that, but it's not unrealistic that I should be below 250 before the end of the year -- potentially quite a bit below 250. There's some magic in those numbers because I haven't visited a number below 260 in a decade.
The knee is feeling great. I started physical therapy yesterday; the short story is that I have very tight hamstrings and calves, particularly on the left side, potentially because of the herniated disc, and some muscle weakness that all contributed. So despite the knee feeling pretty good, I'm going to go through some strengthening and stretching exercises, which of course will be interrupted by vacation and surgery recovery. Yay.
I'm back up to getting 10K+ steps per day, and I did close to a 4 mile walk a couple of days ago. Yesterday I didn't do quite so well, and PT exercises left the muscles a bit tired, so it was a more stressful walk than normal. At Disneyland I should be getting 15-25K steps per day, depending on what we do. I'm so very excited that it looks like it won't be full of misery now.
Other than that, I've had a bajillion appointments for various things, including the PT, car stuff, and of course all the prep for the surgery. Another one just got added for pre-registration at the hospital.
